How we work

One team, first drawing to final walkthrough.

Most furniture projects hand you off — a salesperson quotes it, a call center fields the problems, a sub installs it. We don’t work that way. From the first consultation through warranty and reconfiguration years later, one accountable team carries your project. No hand-offs, no call center, no starting over.

The engagement

Five stages, one accountable team.

Where Capabilities is what we make, this is how we make working with us simple. Each stage is owned by the same people in Liverpool, NY — the ones who quote the project are the ones who plan it, manage it, install it, and stand behind it.

01

Consultation & needs assessment

It starts with a conversation, not a catalog. We learn how your teams actually work — headcount and growth plans, the inventory you already own, the constraints of the building, and the budget you’re working against. Bring a floor plan, a furniture list, or just the problem; we’ll tell you honestly what’s worth remanufacturing, what’s worth replacing, and where the savings are.

02

Space planning & design

Our LEED AP designers turn the program into a buildable plan. Using CET, we model the floor plate in 3D and produce photorealistic renders, so you see the space — panel runs, work surfaces, storage, finishes, and color — before a single component is touched. Plans are engineered to grow and reconfigure with the business, so the next expansion is a change order, not a fresh start.

03

Project management & specification

Once the plan is approved, one project manager owns the build. They lock the specification, schedule the work against our own shops — remanufacturing, metal, millwork, powder coating, upholstery — and keep you to a single point of contact for the duration. Because every discipline answers to the same team, a date is a date, and the spec you approved is the spec that ships.

04

Delivery & installation

Our own crews deliver and install — from a single workstation to a multi-floor rollout — and handle the decommission of whatever is going out. Installs are staged and sequenced to keep your team working, with phased moves over nights and weekends where the schedule demands it. The team unloading the truck is the team that built the work, so anything that needs adjusting is handled on the spot.

05

Warranty & ongoing support

Every remanufactured system ships under a full warranty, the same assurance you’d expect from new product. Years later, when the business grows or the floor changes, the same team reconfigures, adds, and supports what we built — so expansion never means starting over. You reach a person who knows your project, not a ticket queue.

No hand-offs, no call center

One number, one team that knows your job.

When you call Roberts, you reach a person who can see your project — not an outsourced queue reading from a script. The same team consults, plans, manages, installs, and supports the work, so accountability never gets handed off to someone who wasn’t in the room when the plan was set.

01A single point of contact.

One project manager carries your job from first drawing to final walkthrough — and the warranty after.

02The people who quote it build it.

No estimate handed to a stranger; the team that scopes the work owns the outcome.

03Support that remembers you.

Reconfigurations and warranty calls go to the team that knows the floor, not a fresh ticket.

Built to outlast new

Engineered to grow with you, not against you.

Most office furniture is built to be installed once and never touched again. We build the opposite. The systems we plan and remanufacture are engineered to reconfigure and expand — so when you add a team, take a floor, or rethink the layout, it’s a change order, not a teardown. No growing pains, no starting over.

01Expansion without rework.

Add stations and reconfigure runs using the systems you already own.

02Plans that anticipate growth.

Space planning accounts for the next phase, not just the one you’re buying today.

03Roughly 30%+ savings.

Remanufactured systems typically run at least 30% under new — before the savings on every future change.
