The founders and next generation who set the standard the floor is held to — and who still walk it.
Most office furniture is built to be installed once and never touched again. We build the opposite — remanufactured Steelcase systems engineered to reconfigure, expand, and last, finished start to finish under one roof in Liverpool, New York.

Roberts Office Furniture was founded in 1991 in Syracuse, New York as a furniture brokerage, and re-incorporated in Liverpool in 1998 on a conviction that ran against the grain of the industry: that office furniture should be built to outlast its first installation. While the market chased disposable goods and overseas shortcuts, Roberts went the other direction — investing in true remanufacturing, the disciplined restoration of Steelcase systems to a standard indistinguishable from new.
Three decades and one generation later, that conviction still runs the floor. Roberts is a multigenerational company — and one of the few NC3R-certified office furniture remanufacturers in the United States, a certification earned through process, not marketing. Every panel, frame, and finish moves through a single facility, handled by the same team from intake to install.
The belief at the center of all of it is simple. A workplace is never finished. Teams grow, floor plates change, departments move. Furniture built to be installed once becomes a liability the moment the business changes — so we engineer the alternative: systems designed to grow and reconfigure with you, so expansion is painless and never means starting over.
The values that decide how a project is engineered, finished, and stood behind — long after the install crew leaves.
An NC3R-certified process refined over thirty years and applied to the full Steelcase range — Avenir, Series 9000, and beyond. Engineering judgment on every frame, not guesswork.
Remanufacturing, millwork, powder coating, upholstery, and metal fabrication — every surface built and finished in-house, by the same people who deliver and install it.
The most environmentally sound path to a fully outfitted workplace, with measurable proof and LEED Materials & Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality credit contributions.
Systems engineered to be reconfigured and re-finished, backed by full warranty. We build for the second move and the tenth — not just the first delivery.
Liverpool, NY · One facilityFrom a single workstation to a multi-building rollout, every project is engineered, fabricated, and finished by the same team — so the specification holds from quote to install, and accountability never gets handed off to a subcontractor.
Avenir, Series 9000, and the full range — restored to a standard indistinguishable from new, with full warranty.
Reception desks, conference tables, and bespoke casework milled to your drawings.
In-house finishing that matches any specification, precisely and repeatably.
Structural metalwork engineered and built on site, not sourced and waited on.
Delivery, install, and responsible decommission — managed by the people who built it.
Leadership across two generations, certified technicians, and LEED-accredited designers — the continuity that turns a thirty-year standard into a daily practice.
